Snow Flurry by G Russell Case is such a wonderful winter wonderland landscape! Excellent soft colors mix with leafless branches of young trees in the foreground with pale purplish mountains in the background. Ahhh.

Neige En Ville by Bernard Seguin-Poirier shows an abstract and colorful snowy night scene... I just love the feel of the snow blowing around and the hint of people bundled in winter clothes in a snowy city scene.

Thanksgiving is now over and the Christmas season is officialy here, so we're featuring holiday art! Santa Claus is Coming! by Thomas Worth is a combination of Charles Dickens, old Father Christmas, with perhaps a little tinge of Hogsmeade or Bree for flavor. Bells being rung, reindeer coming in to land with much steam and scattering of snow, at night... really captures some of the original mystery of Santa Claus!

What a unique way to show off bottles of wine by featuring them from the neck up - hinting at a diverse collection of tastes! Wine Medley I by Degrazio reminds me of browsing through a wine shop with all the different choices and the sound of full bottles of wine clunking together - excellent.

Road To Enlightenment by Thomas Barbey made me do a double take. At first I thought it was just a cool perspective on a lighthouse, but then I remembered it was in the SURREAL category and looked closer... those are actually PEOPLE walking along the railings - a whole city surrounds this lighthouse - very cool!

Can't you just picture this hanging on a wall in your kitchen or dining room? I can actually smell the fresh baked bread now - mmmmm. Terrific for those who are famous for their homemade bread or for those who just like to eat it!
Also, as a companion to the American Bread (by Joe Ortiz) pictured above, check out their European Bread print as well - they make a nice pair! (Click on the image above to purchase a print, either framed or unframed!)

This is one of the quintessential images that comes to mind whenever someone says Ansel Adams. His famous high contrast black and white photography looks stunning whether it's on a postcard or on your wall.
This particular piece of art is Half Dome, Merced River, Winter.

Georgia O'Keeffe is one of those artist names that people know and their ears perk up when they hear it. Her paintings are definitely of her own unique style but have subjects that are easy to relate to, wonderful colors, and a sense of abstraction in tone. Blue Morning Glories is startling and colorful and dramatic, and really catches my eye!
You can buy this fine art print unframed, or create your own frame and mat combo - I selected the dark blue mat and silver frame above as an example. Just click the image to buy the print.

Tranquility I (Gold) by Barbara Psimas is perfectly named. Three peaceful koi fish waving through their pond, done in serene tans and black. With a cream mat and black frame this print really pops! (Click to purchase this fine art print or to see it with different framing options.)

Okay, first off, I have to admit, I'm not actually a coffee drinker (even thought I LOVE the aroma!), but please don't hold that against me as I really love this piece of caffeine-imbued art deco!
American Deco Coffee by Michael L Kungl showcases wonderful earth tones and the thick 'diner' type plain china cups and saucers that many of us grew up seeing at local restaurants.
Just click on the image to buy a print and make your kitchen feel like a swanky neighborhood coffee shop. Or click here to see the rest of the artist's Art Deco gallery!

Violet Statics by Bea Danckaert - this abstract painting showed me a city block from above and the side at once - buildings of different sizes and colors all overlapping each other at various corners. I also loved the obvious texture of this work of art, which can be challenging to convey from the original to a print - well done.

Midnight Lighthouse by Steve Sundram

This work puts two elements together that I'd never really thought of before - a lighthouse with a full moon - and does it beautifully, connected them with light, and painting the scene in mostly shades of blue. Very unusual and thoughtful. (Click here to see a few more of this artist's lighthouses.)

Bridge At Chatou by Pierre Auguste Renoir is a wonderful work of soft-colored impressionism...

My eye keeps getting drawn under the bridge and into the water, towards the cool shade.

Peacock 2 by Dave Knowles makes you smile, especially after you realize what you're actually seeing!

It's a fantastic angle - looks like photographer's luck was at work here - being in the right place at the right time, and he captured the peacock's colors beautifully too.

We're really excited to launch our Art Up Your Walls site! We created Art Up Your Walls because we're big believers in trying to make all kinds of art as available as possible. So along with the semi-daily art features on the front page, the right column lets you browse through our catalog of great art by genre, artist name, and even subject. The right column list is by no means exhaustive, but should help you find just what you're looking for.
And the best part of all of this is that all of the prints here are available unframed or framed (custom mat and framing options chosen by you) via the good people at Imagekind - they're a growing company that already has a reputation for the highest quality prints.
So welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay, and we have to say it, go art up your walls!
