Cardinals II by Anita Phillips isn't just a terrific painting of winter Cardinals, but the birds on their snowy branches are framed by snow topped winter berries too. Very clever!

This adorable watercolor depicts baby sea turtles out for their first swim since hatching. Nothing cuter than baby sea turtles, and I love the depths of water done in different colors - nice effect.

Whimsical Cat Angels by Karyn Lewis just made me smile - two cat angels swooping around a circular rainbow in the skies. The artist also has other works that are oriented towards kids and make great wall decorations in a child's room.

Green Dottles in the Lekker Designs Gallery is clean and modern, draws the eyes in and gives the mind a circular flow to relax into. It's almost like it's own abstract bubble mosaic!

Foggy Reflections 711 by Kent Lorentzen almost looks like an abstract painting you make by putting paint on paper and folding it in half. And I love the variety of types and angles of the trees in this photograph.
The artist's description of the photo: "Still water shows a reflection of trees on the far bank of the Mississippi river as fog floats above the water with a patch of weeds showing by the near bank as dawn breaks on a August morning in north central Minnesota. "

Hill Chain by Prentice is an abstract landscape of light and shadow passing overland, in simple yellows, blues, and greens. I can feel the shaft of light coming down in the middle as if bursting through disappearing clouds.

I've been a fan of artist Mary Ogle's (of evision Arts) work for a long time, so I'm very happy to feature her Raven Goddess piece here! To me it seems like the Raven is standing guard over the goddess while she works magic of serious intensity, while dragonflies flit around, curious as ever at the gathering energy.
